Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

TanwaFX is a product being developed by Tanwa Technologies Inc. (“Tanwa Technologies,” “TanwaFX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. TanwaFX is currently an informational website and early-access waitlist; it is not currently processing currency exchanges or providing money services.

2. Scope

This Privacy Notice applies to personal information collected through tanwafx.com and our early-access communications. It does not cover a future transactional platform, mobile application, identity-verification process, or payment service. Before any such service launches, we expect to update this notice to explain the additional information and processing involved.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Email address when you join early access.
• Preferred exchange corridor, such as CAD to NGN or NGN to USD.
• Communications you send to us, including questions, feedback, and unsubscribe or privacy requests.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting and security providers may automatically process limited technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, request timestamps, referring page, and security signals. Google reCAPTCHA also analyzes technical and interaction information to help distinguish people from automated abuse.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or analytics tools, and we do not collect payment, banking, government-identification, or transaction information through this Site.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• manage the early-access list and send requested product updates;
• understand interest in exchange corridors and plan the product;
• respond to questions, feedback, privacy requests, and support inquiries;
• protect the Site, detect abuse, troubleshoot problems, and maintain security;
• comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Use; and
• create aggregated or de-identified insights that do not reasonably identify an individual.

If we want to use your information for a materially different purpose, we will provide notice and obtain consent where required.

5. Consent and email communications

When you submit the early-access form, you consent to the collection and use described at signup and in this notice. We use your email address to send TanwaFX product updates and early-access communications. Our messages will identify the sender and provide a way to unsubscribe. You may withdraw consent at any time by using an unsubscribe link or emailing privacy@tanwafx.com, subject to legal or record-retention requirements.

6. When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information:

• to Brevo, which hosts and manages the early-access subscription list and email communications;
• to Google, which provides reCAPTCHA fraud and abuse protection;
• to Amazon Web Services, which provide domain, hosting, content-delivery, logging, or related infrastructure;
• to professional advisers or contractors who need the information to provide services and are subject to appropriate obligations;
• when required or permitted by law, legal process, regulators, or law enforcement; or
• in connection with a proposed or completed financing, reorganization, merger, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to applicable safeguards.

7. Processing outside Canada

Our service providers may store or process personal information outside Alberta or Canada, including in the United States or European Union. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws and may be accessible to courts, governments, or law-enforcement authorities there. You may contact us for information about our service providers and the countries in which they may process information.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site may use technologies required for security, fraud prevention, network delivery, and basic operation. Google reCAPTCHA may set or read cookies or similar identifiers under Google’s own policies. We do not currently use cookies for behavioural advertising or audience analytics. If that changes, we will update this notice and provide any choices required by law.

9. Retention

We retain waitlist information while you remain subscribed and for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including maintaining consent and unsubscribe records, resolving disputes, securing the Site, and meeting legal obligations. When information is no longer reasonably required, we will delete it, anonymize it, or securely dispose of it.

10. Safeguards

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we hold. No online system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive financial, identity, or account information to our general email addresses or waitlist form.

11. Your privacy choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• withdraw consent or unsubscribe from communications;
• request deletion of information that we are not legally required to retain; or
• ask questions or raise a concern about our privacy practices.

Send a written request to privacy@tanwafx.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or another regulator with jurisdiction.

12. Children

The Site and early-access list are intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

13. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as TanwaFX develops, our service providers change, or legal requirements evolve. We will post the updated notice here and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where required.
